Automatic Save Of Document Save Time

Nothing is worse than a long article just after the machine has been cut off and not saved.

In fact, we can make some arrangements to reduce the loss to a minimum after the blackout or similar problems occur.

First, change Word

Regular storage

Time interval

In many software, the function of timing storage is built. If the user fails to save the disk, the software will be executed on a regular basis. It is very convenient.

However, the time interval of default storage in Word is relatively long. Because the shorter the time, the more frequent the Word saves the document. The more information can be recovered when there is power failure or similar problems after opening the document in Word, so we can set it up by ourselves and shorten it, so that the articles will not be saved at most in a short time, thereby reducing the loss.

The specific operation is as follows:

(1) click options on the tools menu, then click Save tab.

(2) select the automatic save interval check box;

(3) enter the time interval in the "Min" box, such as 1 minutes.

Note: (1) the time saved file function is valid only for DOC files in Word format, and other files are invalid. Therefore, the author suggests that you save it in Word format when editing, and then save it as other formats after editing.

(2) if you use Microsoft Word on a computer running Windows 95 or Windows 98, the default folder for storing automatic recovery files is Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Word folder.

If you use Microsoft Windows NT 4 or its subsequent version of the operating system, or there are more than one active user configuration file on the computer, the automatic recovery file will be saved under the Windows\Profiles\ user name \Application Data\Microsoft\Word folder.

The user can modify it by itself.

Two, let Word

Save document

Backup

If our documents can be kept a backup at the time of preservation, the document will undoubtedly be insured a lot.

In Word, we can set up the Word to save the backup of the document.

The specific settings are as follows:

(1) click the save as command in the file menu.

(2) click the tools button, and then click the general options command.

(3) select the "reserved backup" check box;

(4) click the "confirm" button.

(5) Click Save button.

Later, Word will automatically save its backup when editing the document. Its extension is not.BAK, but.WBK. If you do not open the document, you can simply select all files in the open range and open it directly.

Three, restore

Automatic preservation

Documents

If you set up the Word automatic time saving disk and set the time of regular storage in the time interval, even if you encounter all the documents that are in the open state when there are power failures or similar problems, they will be displayed, and will be automatically saved 1, automatically save 2, and automatically save 3.

The way is opened, and only the modification made after the last automatic restore is lost.

The next thing you need to do is to save them.

Four. Restore the text in damaged documents.

If we do not respond to the computer when we attempt to open a document, the document may be corrupted.

However, sometimes our documents are damaged, but we can still recover the damaged text from them to prevent the loss of work results.

The specific operation is as follows:

(1) click options on the tools menu, and then click the General tab.

(2) ensure that the open conversion confirmation check box is selected, and then click OK button.

(3) click the "open" button.

(4) click "restore text from any file" in the file type box.

(5) after opening the damaged document, Word will automatically use the special file recovery converter to restore the text in the damaged document.

You can also use the file converter to open damaged documents and restore text.

After successfully opening the damaged document, you can save it in Word format or other formats (for example, text format or HTML format).

Paragraphs, headers, footers, footnotes, end notes, and text in the domain will be restored to ordinary text, but document format, graphics, domains, graphic objects and other non text information can not be restored.

Note: if you do not see "restoring all text in the file" in the file type box, you need to install the corresponding file converter.

Five, buy UPS uninterruptible power supply

If you want to reduce the loss of Word documents to a minimum, the best and most effective way is to buy UPS uninterruptible power supply. Once the system is powered off, the UPS will call out the uninterrupted power system to remind users to save.
