Fendi Invites Consumers To Facebook To Design Bags
According to foreign media reports, high-end luxury retail stores in Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman Bergdorf Goodman launched a crowdsource design Fendi2Bag handbag competition on Facebook.
This event called FendiFrenzy: The ColorChallenge invites consumers to choose the colors of the upper and lower parts of the bag, the hand strap and the ID tag from the color palette.
Participants can submit multiple designs to the Facebook page of Podolph Goodman before the event deadline on April 24. Next week, contestants need to invite their friends to vote. Fendi's design team will select the champion from the five designs with the most votes, and the real object will become BergdorfGoodman's Autumn Limited Edition . (The winner will certainly get a handbag for free.)
In addition to promoting this activity on the Facebook page of Podolph Goodman, Fendi and BagSnob also promoted it on their respective Facebook pages. The ads also appeared on the blog bergdorfgoodman.com and the New York Times.
This activity reflects the crowdsourcing trend in the fashion industry. LikeThreadless produces T-shirts designed by communities, which is one of the pioneers of this trend. Although some fashion brands have also carried out similar competitions in recent years, the activities launched by Rodolfo Goodman this time deserve attention in terms of scale and reputation of the brands involved.
