Introduction to Lu Mei

The predecessor of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1938 by the Lu Xun Institute of art in Yanan. It was initiated by the leaders of the old generation such as Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai.

Comrade Mao Zedong wrote the school motto for the college and the motto of "nervous, serious, painstaking and modest".

In 1945, Yanan Lu Yi moved to Northeast China.

It developed into Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1958.

After 73 years of development, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts has grown into a well known high art institution with strong teaching staff, complete professional skills, the highest level of school running and overall strength, and its distinctive school characteristics and important influence both at home and abroad.

The Institute has two campuses of Shenyang and Dalian. Shenyang campus is located in the Northeast political, economic and cultural center, located in the famous high tech Industrial Street - San Hao street; Dalian campus is located in the beautiful national scenic resort, Dalian's Golden Pebble Beach.

The total area of the campus is 464181 square meters, and the library area is 10887 square meters. Dalian campus has two specialties of art design and animation, and began to recruit undergraduates in 2011.

There are five professional directions in art design, including graphic design, multimedia art design, display design, decorative art design and ceramic art design.

The animation specialty consists of four professional directions: animation design, game animation design, interactive media animation design and animation creative product design.
