Before The Fiscal Year April, Pakistan's Footwear Exports Increased By 11.45%

Footwear Export Growth

According to Pakistan's "dawn" reported on November 25th, the Ministry of commerce data show that the first 4 months of this fiscal year (July 2011 to October) exports of traditional exports (leather goods, sporting goods, mechanical and electrical products, etc.) exports amounted to 3 billion 650 million U.S. dollars, compared with the previous fiscal year's 2 billion 920 million US dollar growth of 25%. In the fiscal year, the export volume of traditional commodities is expected to exceed US $10 billion.


Reported that, due to competition from China, Afghanistan and other countries, the export of Palestinian carpets in the first 4 months of this fiscal year increased by only 0.41%. Sporting goods exports increased by 7.13%, of which football and glove exports increased by 13.53% and 15.93% respectively. Sports goods in Spain, especially football, have declined in recent years in the international market.


In addition, footwear exports during the same period increased by 11.45%, surgical instruments increased by 20.75%, mechanical and electrical products increased by 59.74%, leather products decreased by 0.96%, and clothing increased by 5.96%.
