The concept and methods of cloth dyeing and rendering

First, what is Tie dyed cloth ?

The development of Zha dyed cloth is quite long and can be traced back to the BC. Tie dye tie-dyeing also has a common name, called skein dyeing. The name and its style are obtained by pressing the thread at different parts according to the design requirements before dyeing the fabric, and then loosening the thread, so that the natural pattern of faint color can be obtained. At first, there were only blue and white varieties of tie dyed cloth and batik cloth. Now it has developed into colorful, colorful and diversified development patterns. Raw materials also developed from single cotton cloth to silk, synthetic fiber and all kinds of blended fabrics. Nowadays, the application of new dyed fabrics is no longer limited to the single stage in the initial stage. Tie dyeing tools are no longer limited to simple tie lines. Nowadays, professional tools can be described in a dazzling array. Generally speaking, tie dyeing can not be separated from three basic steps: dyeing before treatment, strapping and dyeing, dyeing and finishing.

Pretreatment before dyeing

In order to ensure uniform dyeing balance in the process of tie dyeing, a pretreatment procedure for fabric must be carried out. This is because raw fabrics have slurry, auxiliaries and natural impurities of certain components. So in order not to be affected by these things, or to remove these impurities. Pretreatment is a necessary and indispensable process.

Before dyeing, there are:

Desizing: the purpose is to remove the slurry and use some auxiliary substances such as lye, oxidant or amylase to boil water to make the fabric desizing.

Dosage: the general agent is about 3% of the cloth weight, and the water is about 30 times the cloth weight.

Refining: natural impurities and residual slurry that are commonly left on fabric fibers, so we must remove these effects. The way is to boil fabrics through caustic soda and boiling water. Dosage: caustic soda is 3% of cloth weight and water is 30 times of cloth weight.

Bleaching: the role of bleaching is to remove pigment and residual impurities. Commonly used adjunct such as sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide is boiled in water. Dosage: bleach is 3% of cloth weight, and water is 30 times the weight of cloth. In addition, pretreatment of silk is done with soap solution plus sodium carbonate and water refining.

Ironing and ready to use: the method is to press the rinsed cloth with electric iron to flatten it as a reserve for drawing patterns and strapping.

Strapping dyeing

Mark the patterns that have been designed with the powder, mark them on the cloth, or draw them on the cloth, then tie them up or stitch them up. When finished, soak in the water to soak it up. Once it is finished, remove it for a few minutes and avoid drying in the sun. When the water is not dripping, put it into the prepared dye or dip or dye it. Then rinse with water and dry in the room.

Post dyeing treatment

After drying, the fabric does not need to wait until it is completely dry to open. Less moisture does not affect elegance. After flat spread, the iron is pressed and smoothed until it is finished.

After finishing the tie dye finished product, it is only a very monotonous fabric and does not attract the attention of the eyeball. Therefore, we must take some measures or some technology to make the product turn luxuriant, so that it can make the product more artistic charm and enhance the price of the product. In the industry nowadays, such as hand embroidery, hand drawing, embroidery, pricking and embroidery are commonly used to create the initial monotonous dyed cloth.

Second, what is Render cloth ?

Rendering cloth is actually a kind of fabric produced by a method of painting. The method of making is simple and varied, and the dye is gradually depicted on the cloth from deep to shallow, and it can be directly painted on the cloth when diluted with similar dyes and adjacent dyes. After that, let them naturally infiltrate slowly until the final connection forms multi-level colors and patterns. Other workshops use spray paint to dye the cloth to make them moist, bright, soft, layered and colorful. There are also some auxiliaries such as dyed or anti dyed agents, which are used to spread the fabric on the fabric so as to form a deep or shallow effect. The fabric produced by the rendering method has the color of "dream combination". It is like the seven rainbow in the sky. This kind of dyed cloth with strong visual impact is called rendering cloth.

In addition, there is another method of making cloth, which is called "discharge dyeing". Water painting "The process of making it is to spread the color of dilute sulfuric acid on indigo cloth, and finally to form a blue and white pattern on the cloth. When making, it is necessary to dye a piece of fabric with indigo blue, and then dilute it with a certain proportion of sulphuric acid. After painting, rinse the fabric into clean water, showing a white pattern on the blue bottom. The method is simple and can be used freely, so it is widely used.
