Speaking of hemp, people often think of the functions of air permeability and moisture conduction. At Donghua University, there is a student centered research team on biological degumming of hemp fibers. They have been actively conducting scientific and technological collaborative innovation in an interdisciplinary and cross disciplinary manner. They have been selected as the "Xiaoping technological innovation team" by university students. In October 23rd, Donghua University held the awarding ceremony of the "Xiaoping science and technology innovation team" of the university students.

The integrated R & D team of hemp fiber degumming industrialization at Donghua University is a composite R & D team consisting of postgraduates and undergraduate students from the Textile College and the Institute of chemical biology. The team consists of three or four undergraduate, master and doctoral postgraduates. The project leader is Ding Ruoyao, a 2009 degree textile Engineer at Donghua University. The instructor is Professor Yu Chongwen, associate professor of chemistry and biology, Zhang Xingqun. It is understood that since 2009, the team has independently developed a new type of biological degumming technology. It is a highly efficient, large-scale, low-cost preparation and related degumming technology based on the mechanism analysis of modern biological engineering. The team is constantly developing research and development, and actively promoting the industrialization technology to industrialization stage. Aiming at the innovation and industrialization promotion of the research. process The reporter interviewed Ding Ruoyao.

Reporter: what are the disadvantages of traditional hemp fiber degumming?

Ding Ruoyao: because hemicelluloses, pectin and lignin are glued to the original hemp fibers, the fibers in the original hemp are firm and striped. Therefore, the original hemp must be "degumming" before spinning, so that the fibers are separated from each other to meet the spinning requirements. At present, the commonly used degumming method in the textile industry is chemical method, that is, strong acid, strong alkali and strong oxidant are used to treat the raw hemp. This is not only energy consuming and high cost, but also can not recycle waste water, and pollution is a big problem.

Reporter: what are the innovation points of hemp fiber biological degumming technology?

Ding Ruoyao: the technology of biological degumming is to inoculate the degumming strain after inoculation to the original hemp for biochemical reaction, and to remove the colloid from the original hemp by using the Decomposing Strain of the gum, so that the raw hemp can be processed into loose and soft hemp fiber. On the basis of modern bioengineering, we have constructed an efficient, large-scale and low-cost degumming bacteria system and its corresponding industrial production process. The production process has the advantages of strong specificity, mild working conditions, good processing quality, less environmental pollution and simple process. The main process parameters of the project are temperature The pressure and mixing revolutions have all been automatically controlled and operated by one person per shift. The degumming strains we use are screened out from nature and undergo long-term degumming experiments. They have simple culture, strong specificity and stable performance. They play a positive role in effectively solving many problems that restrict the development of high-grade products related to bast fiber.

In terms of energy saving and emission reduction, the energy consumption of the bio degumming unit decreased by 44%, the amount of the degumming agent was reduced by more than 80%, the product production rate increased by 5%~6%, and the fiber spinnability was greatly improved; the emissions of inorganic pollutants and organic pollutants were reduced by 70% and 40% respectively; the combing rate increased by 5%~6%, and the products increased by 1~2 grade.

Reporter: what are the problems encountered in the process of research and development of bio degumming technology?

Ding Ruoyao: under the background of "big textile", cross-border cooperation is a major trend. At present, more and more colleges and universities advocate "collaborative innovation", our team from 4. doctor There are 7 masters and 4 undergraduates. They are students who study textile engineering, students who study bioengineering, and students who study chemistry. The students often joke about themselves: "we are a cross border" hybrid brand. " However, "cross boundary" and "miscellaneous" have just become the most beneficial places for students to carry out research. For example, at the very beginning, we used pure biological methods to retting hemp fibers, but the effect was not satisfactory. Later, thanks to the students of chemistry, they woke up and suggested that after adding a small amount of chemical agents, the degumming effect had been significantly improved.

The biggest advantage of interdisciplinary and cross boundary research is to broaden our horizons and inspire creativity through collisions with other professional students. How much temperature, choice of bacteria and proportion of bacteria are needed for degumming of hemp fibers are gradually established in our continuous discussion and discussion. The whole study is by no means a professional student, and interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary is a must.

Reporter: when will the project enter the industrialization stage? What is the market prospect?

Ding Ruoyao: biological degumming technology is applicable not only to new enterprises built in the origin of hemp, but also to the technological transformation of hemp processing enterprises. At present, we have cooperated with Hunan Yuanjiang star Hemp Industry Co., Ltd., and gradually explored the industrialization road of hemp fiber biological degumming technology.

Compared with the chemical process, the bio degumming technology of hemp fiber developed by our company does not use sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate reagents in the process of degumming. It can reduce the consumption of chemical raw materials by 90%, reduce the total amount of pollutants by 60%, reduce energy consumption and production water by 50%, and reduce the cost per ton of products by more than 800 yuan, and the quality can be increased by 1~2 grade. If the capacity is extended to 30 thousand tons, compared to chemical degumming, 31800 tons of caustic soda, 3762 tons of sulphuric acid, 900 tons of liquid chlorine, 240 thousand tons of steam and 19 million 260 thousand tons of water can be saved each year. The production of CODcr from every ton of refined hemp will be reduced from 370 kilograms to 160 kilograms. The social and economic benefits and social benefits are very significant, and the market prospect can be expected.
