Wanda Invested 100 Billion Yuan To Build A Film, Television, Cultural And Tourism Project In Changchun

This morning (August 6), the Information Office of the State Council held a series of provincial (district, city) press conferences. At the press conference, Jing Junhai, governor of Jilin Provincial People's Government, said that Wanda (special reading) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Changchun Municipal Government, and decided to invest 100 billion yuan to build a film, television, culture and tourism project, which will start construction in September.

Jing Junhai also revealed that Evergrande's comprehensive cultural and tourism project with a total investment of 100 billion yuan in Jilin Province, the "Dream Jilin" project with a total investment of 20 billion yuan by Red Star Macalline and Shanghai Greenland Group, the Internet of Things Capital of China and other major projects have been successfully implemented. The Sino Swiss Lianchuang Ski Town project with a total investment of 50 billion yuan is under planning and design and will start construction in the second half of the year.

It is understood that in 2015, Wanda invested in the construction of a film and television cultural street in Changchun. The project has four major business types: super five-star film and television theme hotel, Wanda Mansion, high-end entertainment business, and film and television theme street. It is a film and television theme business street with film and television culture as the core and tourism, business, leisure, and residential functions.

According to the information on the official website of Wanda Group, up to now, Wanda Group has four Wanda Plaza in Changchun in operation, which are Changchun Checheng Wanda Plaza, Changchun Chongqing Road Wanda Plaza, Changchun Hongqi Street Wanda Plaza and Changchun Kuancheng Wanda Plaza.

It is worth noting that the Changchun Film Television Cultural Tourism Project is not a new cultural tourism project launched by Wanda this year. According to incomplete statistics, Wanda Group has signed a number of new cultural and tourism projects in Chaozhou, Shenyang, Tianjin Jizhou, Sichuan and other places since May. In addition, there is news that Wanda may build a Wanda City in Yangluo, Wuhan in the future.

In the first two years, Wanda has transferred 13 cultural and tourism projects and their cultural management shares to Rongchuang, which means "completely withdrawing from the cultural and tourism city project". However, Wanda's recent actions seem to show the outside world that it has never "abandoned" its cultural and tourism business.
